No suggestions on changing wheels please i really need to find a way to get my 7j x 15 ATS cup over my G60 calipers. I havent yet tried but a search on here shows many people have had problems. Surly with the right spacing and a bit of grinding it can be done.

You can, if you use (IIRC) 17mm spacers as a minimum... I would say at least 20mm spacers. If you use this, you will not need to grind anything.

I'm guessing this depends on what offset the cups are?

How can i tell ?? all i can see on the wheels is 7j x 15. I also dont really get the physics off offset, well i do but not enough to know how much i can space them by. Im thinking of going 25mm to play it safe.

The ET20 ATS CUPs will have the bigger lip. the ET28 will have a smaller lip.
You can see the ET for the wheels on either the inside or outside center of the wheel.
you will see either a number of 20 or 28.

Regarding the spacers and ET, WillG has a point. I'm not sure. I did my measurements with an ET20 wheel...
    It pokes a lot...

I've got ET20s and from the 'flat part' of the wheel to the start of the lip (ie all the dish) is 69mm.

Right its hard to to fully tell through the layers of paint but it looks like theres a 20 on there. So will this mean im safe to use hubcentric 20mm spacers.

I would say so... But you can always test this or something first.

are the hubs+ calipers on the car already?

if they're still off it'd probably be easier to measure them up with the wheels face down on the ground and put the hub, disc+calipers inside to see how much clearance you need.

    et28s - not a hope.

rumour has it et20s were made to poss clear the bigger brakes, but you may still need a small spacer, but it will kill the handling, and make the sterring heavy while increasing bump steer, wheel bearing wear and ball joint wear,

Maybe a bit late now but I'm running 7" ats cups et20 over g60 brakes with 165/50 tyres I managed to use a 15mm spacer which kept the wheel tucked under the arch, only had to grind a tiny bit off one of the calipers! its lowered about 50-60mm and no rubbing at all on the fronts! The 9" rears catch a little though:lol:

Can anyone else confirm this? Will ATS CUP et25 clear G60's without effecting the handling?

are there even et25? I thought there was only 20 or 28.

they'll be like et20 + a spacer. so fit some et15 wheels and see how the steering feels.

read post 13... hes using et20 (lower than et25) and still needed a spacer and to grind the claipers.

give it up as a bad joke.
