Yep, and no point in holding on to them just for that. 20 years of storage, MOTs, tax, insurance, servicing ... all comes at a price.
Mine must be worth a fortune then, Gaz coilovers, big brakes, TSR engine, lightened flywheel AND new clutch. Anyone want to make me an offer in the region of 30,000 Seriously though, he is dreaming, its not even in original condition, its been restored, or low milage. 6000 tops.
Law of the Dubber - more mods, must mean its worth more money Womble, I'd say yours is worth the 16k, minus the cost of putting it back to standard
Yeah, funny how improving things can actually devalue a car. Whereas if these things were put on at the factory as options it would be an uber rare spec'd up factory version worth loads.
My thoughts exactly...Its hardly concours just because its had a restoration. Oh how i miss ours. [:^(]
That's Tom Hartley for you. Bloke's (Tom Hartley Jnr anyway) a cnut. Times must be hard for them at the mo. Time was they wouldn't bother with anyting below an M3 (when the E46 was new and people would pay over the odds for them). Not many people prepared to pay 20% over the new price to have "the first one off the boat" of the latest fancy model. I remeber back in the day being asked to finance a new SL55AMG at 115% of RRP because "it's the very first in the country" it was also the 3rd one we'd done that week...
