After some thinking I bought these wheels in the end, brand spanking new in the box and OEM ;)

What do people think of them??

i was half expecting that to be the "before" shot...then realised it was an "after" shot.

they do nothing for me I'm afraid.

40mm on AVO springs (might be 45mm but cannot remember exactly)

The before wheels were the standard 14' mesh type alloys.

To be honest the wheels were bought purely as they were cheap, OEM and simple to clean.

Being my daily hack/**** it gets stone chips and so much salt that my 14'' mesh type showed corrosion in a few months despite keeping them clean so can't imagine what would have to some nice splits

Wasn't after to be king of bling with shiney BBS and didn't want to risk driving everyday of stretched wide 14's [:$]

My first set of rims that the car came with were some deep dish Oz volcanoes, which the polished rim got destroyed so quickly with weekend cleaning, so they were sold onto someone on here who should be sporting them on his mk2 race series car :)
70 for a set of brand new alloys in the original box/packaging isn't too bad

They're the wheels from an Ibiza GTI 16v....

I admit I used to hate these but after some thought and a good photochop I took the bullet and got them. Now I like them, nothing too flash but plain and simple for everyday use.

I'm not expecting to wine any show and shine
