http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MK-2-16V-GOLF-GTI-/190488378063?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item2c59fdfacf Just come across this Monza Blue MK2 for sale on ebay. Looks quite original in the pictures & the mileage is low!! ( I can see PAB eying this up )
Nice Think he would get more on the bay though if he'd spent a few minutes work on resoring the bumpers and trim, never seen such faded "smalls"! Cheers D
I won a Monza valver off eBay once. Turned up to pay for it, and it had massive holes in the floor. Promptly told the owner to feck off.
are they the correct wheels for that era? i have an 85 C plate and was going to fit them (montreals) because i think they are the correct ones. i also have some good od P slots, but fancy the montreals more!
Montreals are correct wheels for this early 16v. 8v on a c would probably have been steels or p slots. Cheers D
i know where there is a monza which has been sat in a garage under cover for 2 years might see if its for sale yet lol
You can have first refusal if you come with a big enough bag of cash... Not many, we should start a register, was a 16v only colour D & E reg cars only.
i was told when i got mine, there were 3 thousand made on d,e and f reg so 9 thousand in total,i cant say i believe it but i would like to know how many were actually made
must get mine out of the garage and take some pics, bought it with out vw experiance and found out its had a new wing on
I think mine is one of the earliest on a D. The colour was also available on Jetta 16v's of the same time and Scirocco Mk2 GTX (a bit earlier - perhaps 85/86?) Cheers D
