OK, I have a 2l bottom end with a DIY p&p PB head plus a GS2H cam. The car is a 1989 Digifant Mk2. Engine timing is OK, battery all charged up, petrol in tank, new plugs, everything plugged in. The engine turns over fine but refuses to start. Previously I tried a 2l dizzy with only 1 hole in the trigger wheel, today I have tried a dizzy that has 4, like the digifant one has. With the previous dizzy, the engine almost started a couple of times, but when I checked the plugs it had only fired on cylinder no.1 With the new dizzy the engine occasionally almost starts and has also backfired a couple of times. Does anyone have any suggestions (please)? I am getting a bit annoyed now!!! [:^(]
