How did you get the buffer marks off? The wifes bora sport has these all over and it looks pants in the sun!
    What product takes them off?
    Cheers ;)

i ended up using a porter cable polisher and some merzerna polish.

the porter cable is about 150.

by hand you could try some meguiars scratch X (you can buy it from halfords). don't know if it will work though but it's a good scratch removing product unlike Tcut.
then polish it up with a polish and wax you want.

poorboy super swirl remover 1 should work. you can get that from here http://www.seriousperformance.co.uk/Products,77.html

wipe with a damp towel and then wet vac door card. would be worth checking plastic membrane in the door is intact otherwise water will still get in and create same problem again, car looks great.

one bodyshop said they would need new wings but the bodyshop in cov said that the wings aren't bad at all and therefore would be better off rescuing them.

got done in the end though, and thanks for your help

with the engine using water, and the fear of the head gasket going for the second time in just over a year, i decided to bite the bullet and rip the engine apart myself.(with the help of my bro:thumbup: ). the last time it went it decided to ruin the head at the same time[:x]

on taking the head off the gasket was still intact[:s] . must be the head warped (although there was no overheating)

so i know what sensor go's where i've marked them and took a picture[:$]

not got many pics for now but while it's off i've decided to get the cylinder head done by 'the man in the shed'(cheers for the GB mike:clap: )

heres what it looks like for now.

at the shed, he checked the head over and it was warped slightly but very usable. he also suggested that i checked the block as it's uncommon for the HG to fail in such quick succession on 2 different heads, and it therefore points to the block being the culprit.

on getting back to the car i checked the block with a flat steel rule and sure enough the block is warped too.[:x]

so now the block has to come out.
whilst it's out i'm getting the rings done. so the block will be going off to be re-honed, and skimmed to get the block to head face flat again.

on the plus side it should be like new again, and the skimming to the block and the head will increase the compression a little[:D]

    this cars costing me alot[:^(]

how the car sits at the minute.

which reminds me i need a new grill
will get some more pics as we continue
