I think with a 57.1mm centre bore, they are hubcentrics.

Damn sight cheaper than the H&R ones, and appear to largely make the DIY thread I put up redundant if those prices are right?

whan you say 12mm is that total axel width or each side? as iirc the fk ones work on a tatal axel width, ie 12mm spacer = 2 6mm ones,

I have used fks before, good quality kit! only issue is on the hub centric jobbers make sure they're deep enough to fit over the hweel hub, and with non centrics make sure enough lip sticks out past the spacer for the wheel to centre on. I think with a 12mm spacer you'll be ok, but best to go out & measure just to be safe!

M7R is right, the sizes given on Venom is for the overall track increase on the axle, so 12mm ones will be 6mm per side. So I've just ordered the 26mm (13mm/side) Hubcentric spacers. 37.42 (6.50 postage). Should be ok I think.

Don't forget you'll need longer wheel bolts as well.

Do the spacers have to sit flush on the disc face?

There is a 2-3mm gap between the back edge of the spacer and the front surface of the disc, the groove in the spacer (collar) doesn't seem to go deep enough.

Should I not fit them in this instance?

yes they do, the wheels are designed to be clapmed straight to the disc, the clamping force then holds the wheels in place with friction between the wheel & hub. If you bolted it up with a gap all the force would be concentrated on the wheel bolts and they'll snap as they arnt designed for shear forces!

I'm a little drunk so that might not make sence

I've been thinking that would be the case!

Why have I got this gap with these spacers then? Seems a bit odd as they are designed for a Mk1. Is the 256 brake setup a little thicker on the disc>hub?

    Should I try spacers for a Mk2?

i had the same issue with fk 10mm spacers, you just need deeper ones or non-hubcentric!

Hmmm. I was going to get some of the fk spacers from Venom but postage & tax added over 20! Got a pair of cheapies off ebay - only want 5mm each side to clear my coilover collars so non hubcentric ones should be ok.

    dragged this back up ;)

I ordered some 10mm spacers [5mm-5mm] from venom, I went to fit them today, but the wheel bolts would wind on 4 complete turns before going finger tight, is this safe or do I need longer bolts ?

I only trial fitted one and have took it off until I know whats best

bmw wheel bolts are a wee bit longer, and have correct taper seating for aftermarket wheels (this is assuming you have a 4 stud car) that being said ive always gone by at least 4 finger turns

ok, id assume the broks requirte a tapered seat wheel bolt rather than the ball seating on oem bolts anyway, so off to the scrappy for bmw wheel bolt robery ;)

well I,ve been to my local BMW/VAG breakers - used to be Dubshack in Cov and have a dozen Beemer wheel bolts, the actual thread length is the same as VAG ones but the taper is longer so I guess it should seat deeper

    ta for the help
