VW's Twincharger System Overview

    for racing. 1.4 twincharger or 1.4 turbo is attractive if they are any good and a bit tuneable

    I am not confident on the durability of the EA111 twin charged engine on a standard MK5 or MK6 vehicle, judging by the low mile examples I have observed coming in for stretched timing chains in and jumped cam timing in and out of the VW Enterprises shop down here. I am sure that engine can be made more durable for competition but I am not up to speed with them.
    Contributor, notsoswift mentioned he was looking into tuning the later EA211 engine for motorsport. Not sure how he progressed.

    I do like Keith's EA827 1.4T though. IMO that is a better path to a downsized project.
