Parked next to an mgtf at work yesterday and noticed it had 4 pots so a quick eBay search, how cheap!!! Has anyone fitted them to a mk2?? I know they need 304mm discs but could the be modded to run 280's?

What the spacing on the mounting holes, you might be able to use some Porsche adaptor brackets?

    The price does Looks promising.

Seems they are AP part number CP7601 as listed here.

Just found a link here but seems to differ from the mg caliper

*edit sizes removed as they were *******s!*

Is that carrier mount part of the caliper?:

I can't imagine the shame if running MG branded goods on a VW :-0

I have bought a set some time ago also, as couldn't believe the quality of the kit for the market going rate. When you see them you will be impressed. Demon tweeks do proper pads for a ton or so.
Never got round to doing anything with them yet, as none of my cars need uprated 4 pots, so just sitting here collecting dust

Had considered these a while back. Cant imagine it would be too much work to fit. Shame they aren't radial mount as it would have been easier to knock a few adapters up.

Jon, might be worth measuring the pitch of the holes if you get the time to help any one thinking of going down this route.

Just to note these could possibly be combined with a comp brake 2 piece disc kit (they do various offsets afaik) for a mega AP set for very cheap!

I paid 150 for my calipers, a nice set with decent pads already in
Seemed cheap to me, half the price of the last AP calipers I bought s/h

I haven't tried to fit them yet. I'm still on 239's so I'll need to get 16v hubs first. They fit in the same way as the standard 16v set up so I just need to make an adapter plate and run 280mm discs

Fiat coupe turbos are the others to look out for. Fiat fitted them behind 15" wheels as standard and the discs are almost the same stud pattern. I think the calipers on those are the same as mine

Had a coupe turbo 20v as a road car. The wheels had a massive offset to clear the big chunk of brembo caliper overhang. Good brakes tho.
