Carey, your thoughts, after Nige's question in post 36 and an exchange between myself and 10 mm socket after, where I sort the clarify map sensor positioning in the air charge path, were correct yes

I got all my meth injection set up and wired in yesterday, oooooh! It certainly makes a deep rumble through the chassis, ''tis like sitting in a vibrating massage chair.

Truck didn't get mot test carried out, tester refused as it was burning oil. I drove back home very disappointed but understood...it was quite bad the smoke. Now this seemed to appear from last night( well got worse) it's always smoked a little since I got the engine running, but put that down to the rich map it's currently got.
Anyway I found the turbo oil return line kinked, I haven't carried out any remedial work since this morning, as I've been busy today. So fingers crossed it's just this.

I'm hoping it's not rings( but carried out compression test last week 180 psi)
Or stem seals ( unlikely they're new)
Or turbo seals ( no oil in the boost pipes whatsoever)
Or bores glazed ( wasn't last week when I saw them from the underside, when sump was off)

I'm all road legal and got the boring task of running in with minimal boost.

The smoking turbo was sorted, the culprit was a kinked oil return line

    Hey hope all good?

Did you get any more power once the boost solenoid was sorted?

Regarding o rings not necessary as blocks are stiff anyway what about a girdle to hold the bottom end in?

You have ARP head bolts yes? (Obviously)
