thing is if you took the master cylinder off the servo and your brakes are still locked its nothign on the servo side, its the hydro side at fault

next time fully release the mc so the servo is definitely not pressing on it, see if the brakes release :)

yes but needs mods to do so if you're thinking ibiza/focus one. theres no need for the brakes you have though.

Have 23mm 4port I took out vw t4 1.9 ft before I broke it.found that Mc I had in the car is only 20mm 4port.ive 256 brakes up front and mk3 on the rear.23mm looks the same as 20mm what mods are involved I wonder

ah t4 is same fitting as mk2, should go straight on. since you have it swap it over and see how it is.

worst case you find pedal travel is too short with the 23mm but original problem is fixed all you've wasted is time and fluid, just buy a new 22mm and be sorted :)

Still had the problem so I took out servo&mc the last nite to check.i had 130mm to middle of clevis pin.it was a 20mm Mc on the servo.when you press plunger in on back of servo I felt it catch, picked up another servo yesterday all seem good with that one.i wonder is it the 20mm Mc that was the cause of brakes

Yeah when I push the rod on the ground on the servo sometimes it's smooth and then you could feel it catch.replacement is fitted and brake linkage greased.just to fit master cylinder tomorrow and bleed the system, the plunger arm on the axle needs to be held back towards axle is it

yeah imagien the way it moves as the axle is pushed upwards by extra weight in the boot, clamp it fully in that direction :)
