Hi all just looking for a little bit of clarification. Here goes I've finally managed to source an engine for my mk2 conversion it's a AGU what I'm wanting to do is change it to a bam inlet manifold purely for cosmetic reasons in the engine bay I'm aware that the wiring loom will need modified to suit is this correct also that the the bam inlet is a small port and would need ported Are there any other things that need to be taken into consideration to do this?
APX, AYP, APY, AMX and BFV engines run the same inlet and are nothing special. No such an inlet is not compatible with a 'big port' head.
Yes. There is a big port manifold from the Sharan 1.8T. Else you would need to weld a LH plenum to your AGU runners as an option.
Rare as rocking horse poo. Not a popular car/engine combination. Pretty sure NLA from the dealers too. Ben.
