Morning all. I'm Phil and I'm a Fury-o-holic. I built my Fury back in 2003-06 with a Honda Blackbird bike engine. Having grown up a bit, and having blown up 3 bike engines, I am now converting to 20vT power. I apologise if this is not a VAG vehicle (feel free to shoot me down) but you guys have given me very welcome advice and some may be interested in my progress - it is a work in progress...

My plan is to marry a BAM 20vT to a Mazda RX8 six speed gearbox. The project has seen me cut out my transmission tunnel, remake my pedal box and design a converter plate to connect the engine to the transmission. I will post up some photos and, if there is any interest, provide updates as I work through to completion.

We've got well documented build threads for a Citroen C2 BAM conversion and a RX 8 so yours will fit in nicely with the odjobs crew threads .

Remember we love lots of pictures and for a 10 membership you get masses of advice ( we also tease sometimes but in good fun ) and posting pictures is also easy as you can upload directly to your build thread .

Welcome to clubgti a conversion builders dream site lol

Awsome it'll take a while for your pack and status to be sorted but if I nudge the right people may not be to long

Start your build thread in the members gallery  I can't wait as I love looking at build work rather than slamming or gay RED cars lol

    Hello Phil

It looks like it's going to be a tight fit! We have another RX8 on this forum with a 20VT, might be worth reading through the thread.

I was only running 150 at the wheels. My plan was to turbo the Bird and to take it to 250. Engine #3 went pop (driven gear of Pace dry sump pump lost its teeth after 1000 miles) and I threw my teddy. As it happened I bought a BAM engine direct from VW a few years ago for another project that divorce prohibited so.....

Nope - even at 7.9MB it won't accept them.
