    Hi all,

I have a 1992 16v mk2 which Im in the final stages of converting to an abf on digi straight out of a Crdoba sx. Im at the immobiliser now and all ive got is in this picture below; key, ring with wire cut and some loom. No immob box or anything else Id expect. I bought the stuff over a year ago so no chance of going back to seller sadly.

Whats my best way forward?! Immob defeat or an easier route for parts from another model

    Thanks in advance
    Tom

if you dont have the immobiliser box as well, then the key isnt any use to you. bin the reader coil as well, its cut and so scrap. the chip ishnt matched to the ecu or reader coil, its matched to the immobiliser control box.

not the end of the world though, you can have the immobiliser defeated or you can source a matched immo box and key from any post-96 mk3 golf. avoid the later ones with the square plugs from seat, polo, cabby etc you want the mk3 one with the rounded plugs on, these are easier to work with. once you have a set then you can code it to your ecu with vagcom no pro0blem :)

    Thanks for the options!

I think the defeat will be the way forward for me, are there any recommendations for who to use and not get ripped off by?

Was a few years ago now but Stealth Racing defeated mine if you get stuck.
