Doing a job for a friend on her Leon i have replaced the glow plugs and the next job is the cam sensor i have unplugged it and followed the cable back that goes through the cam belt casing and up behind the inlet camshaft sprocket but i cant see or feel the sensor to unbolt it. Will i have to remove the engine mount and jack up the engine ? also will i have to remove the cam belt ?

    Did you sort this.

I know zero about Diesels but I had a look in the Mk4 Manual. There appear to be two different TDI set-ups. What's the engine code and I'll look again if you have not sorted it.
