Hi Guys asked over on the FB page too

Is it possible to deactivate the passenger airbag on a 2012 polo 1.2? so a baby can travel in the front? this model doesn't have the key switch in the glovebox.

    thanks in advance

You can get it disabled via software at the dealer.

seems they've stopped doing it, don't want to be liable for any non babies in the passenger seat without an airbag

Wouldn't trust doing it with just the software I'd disconnect it and code it or disconnect and add a resistor and code
No chance of it going off then

When I got mine done years ago they but a cover on the obd port warning it had been done plus a sticker on the dash it was disconnected and a resistor fitted and coded so it flashed a warning message on the dash that was on my old mk4 things may have changed but will be similar
Maybe worth asking on one of the retro fit pages on Facebook if you haven't or ask another dealer some are not as bad as others
