passat 20vt into mk2 golf 1.6d

    have chance of a b5 passat 20vt with 90k stamped dealer service history etc just wondering what extras id need to fit into mk2 1.6d

    You'll need a few mounts, driveshafts, speedo cable and a few extra bits. Donor car will have most of it though.

    will i be able manifolds,turbo etc.is it easy job to wire engine up

    no you'll need a load of bits from a mk4 20v, gearbox inlet, sump & parhaps pickup, think oil filter housing even. the wiring looms on these are a right pain as well its sealed up in a big lump of foam in the bay which is a monumental pain in the balls to split and clean off. so again a mk4 wiring loom would make life much easier, plus then you can use my wiring guide as the passat plugs are all different to the fusebox area
