Evening gents. I am considering swapping my fuel rail as the hose connections are at the wrong end for my conversion. Are there any rails that have the connections at the flywheel end? My current rail connects at the pulley end. The engine is a BAM with the standard larger capacity injectors. The other option I have is to remove the existing mounting brackets and re-weld them to the opposite side but this may not be as simple as it looks?!?

I believe I mounted mine upside down.

Thanks Toyotec. I am totally confused by your photo. Did you move the mounting brackets?

This is my rail. It looks identical to yours other than that the mounting lugs look like you might have moved them?

Nope. Upside down that. My manifold is fabricated to fit a 16vT.

Ahh I see. I guess the easiest option will be to remove the existing mounts, rotate 180 degrees and re-weld.

This came with a box of 1.8 stuff I bought - it's an A4 1.8T rail by the looks of it (06B part number). As you can see the fuel lines face the gearbox end but have odd connectors. It's no use to me so you're more than welcome to it.

Thanks Mr Brown! Looks like 1/2"NPT?!? but that would be odd for VAG and the metric system... If you care to PM me where I can send beer tokens to cover your cost I will be sure to oblige.
