Read hand brake cables

    Hi I'm after some advice please
    I'm taking of a corrado g60 rear axle complete with brakes and fitting them to a mk2 golf driver which has drums my question is can I use the hand brake cables of the corrado and fit them on the mk2 golf or do I have to buy mk2 golf specific rear hand brake cables

    it its a post-88 then give it a try, they are a bit shorter than mk2 ones though. if they wont fit or your car is pre-88 then you need mk2 cables matched to the age of your car as they changed size in 88.

    Thanks rj I'll give a go the mk2 is 91 spec

    Right tried the corrado hand brake cables on mk2 91 golf but they come up too short I have changed the 2 metal pipes that go through the floor still no joy so I'm guessing I'll need mk2 gti cables for my mk2 91 spec non gti
