ok so it's the reverse of the question... but

the Armourer trade in the Air Force (Weapons Technicians) are known as Plumbers.

    Dex - Thats weird.

Is it true, do ALL the RAF run about saying 'what what' and when they laugh does every single one snort through their nose too?

    ;)

Officers make up some stupid amount of the RAF, it always seems as if they are all officers, but some are higher than others....

My mate is a Corgi registered plumber, but ive only ever referred to him as a plumber. To be honest, ive never actually thought about a nickname for plumbers. Drippy doesnt sound right, cant say ive heard any plumbers called that before?

i always thought they were refered to as bomb heads.....

incidently avionics techs are dog feckers!

isn`t the word plumber its self a nick name as it was a name given to the "pipe fitters" when they used to fit lead pipes chemical element "Pb - plumbum" -- so you have it plumber is a nick name, case closed

Armourers are variously known as Plumbers and Bomb heads. Those who work in Bomb Disposal are known as Foot-Tappers (think about mine clearance...)

and you were close with the Dog ****ers, it's actually aircraft electricicans who are known as that - the Avionics guys are known as fairies.

(Although now the two trades have amalgamated and the techs have done trade crossover training - known as "Cross Dressing")

bikini, tahiti and tesseral are all alert states relating to different threats.

I never get bored of phoning up female policeman to ask "what's your bikini state then love?"
