Reversed polarity on the phases, change L1 & L2 Leave L3 and it will rotate in the correct direction.

you need to make sure 2U,2V,2W are connected with the correct phase rotation.

    confused.. (easily done)

confirmed actual speed is only 740rpm, not the 1440rpm..

both wiring into 1U,1V,1W independantly AND wiring independantly into 2U,2V,2W operate at same speed just different directions.

tried linking 1U to 2U, 1V to 2W, 1W to 2U and it still ran at same speed, but did make a different noise.

    weirdness..
    boo hoo

I didnt think you will be able to have that fan running in 2 speed unless rotor is double wound?

How come you need 2 speed anyway Bill?

R/R looks mint by the way

the motor was running as a 2 speed before it got removed out of its previous life.
not run for 10 years and 20 years old sat on a roof at the factory.

2 speed motor.. says so on data plate,. just need to suss the windings and links i guess.

had a day off, so finished an lcr i was working on..

had a bog stock 225 LCR in so checked how heights of it worked with the dyno.
fits on dyno fine.. close but clears.

3 power runs on it, ranged from 223bhp, 226bhp, 230bhp, with 198-206lbft torque

Seems pretty close to ok I think on stock car

MrsB Lupo went on again.. I have a nagging bad feeling about it.
On its revo ecu, its only pulled 168bhp-173bhp (heatsoaks very quickly with its crappy chargecooler)
Swapped to another ecu mapped as a generic stage 1, and it rose to 180bhp, BUT n75 duty cycle is max'd out, and it only just peaks over 1.1-1.2bar before plummeting immediately down to 0.6bar (boost plummeted on both ecu's)

Tried it with wastegate disconnected and exactly the same.. Poor lickle lupos k03s is worn out

    Woops..
Dilema now.. fit my old IHI top mount tubular with PE1820 on it and keep the boost down to 1.2bar and hope its 19mm rods hold...

need to get a larger maf tube and some injectors - oh and some time to mess with fitting it.. lol

wonder what mrsb would say with a dollop of 300+bhp

lupo raining oil out of it.. hmm, so some investigating to do.

today i was using it for mapping georges mk3 8v golf m45 supercharged car on dta today.
started with a 148bhp/150lbft, and persuaded it to 163bhp/162lbft torque with spot on afr

great tuning tool i have wanted for a long long time.

more anchor point in the floor which seemed to hold things well too

just the poxy big fan to persuade to run full speed.. hmm

i did a 3.5 alpina bmw tuesday, made 238bhp before tweaks to fuel and 218lbft, and 244bhp and 222lbft with more flatter and longer torque after...
at ajecs DD the car made 220bhp i think from memory, on a day where remapped s3's struggled to get 230-240bhp

look at area under the curve for the improvement in drivability
Customer said it drives much nicer now, which is nice to hear

flashed a new to me badgerwagen (mrsb runabout whilst her lupo receive bigger turbo)
    Arosa 1.4tdi sport

dyno'd before and after on me dyno... after swapping wheels from its baby 14" on low profiles, raising its coilovers, and sticking my 16" wheels onto it.. it was finally high enough to clear the dyno.

    http://badger-5.com/bin/Dyno/arosa-cc-std-comparison.pdf

The low down on how it is:-

    Power Stock - 75bhp, 145lbft
    Actual Stock - 80bhp, 150lbft
Custom Code Phase One as advertised - 105-110bhp, 175-185lbft
    Actual CC Phase One - 96bhp, 160lbft

missing a few torque and horses

Definately more there, and wider spread of torque, BUT not what is claimed.
Changed for brand new fuel filter and new paper filter
re-run dyno and Actual CC Phase one - 97bhp, 163lbft

    new filters, 1bhp and 3lbft
    CC remap - 16bhp and 10lbft

Note for folks.. Service gives you power - lol

those who know me well, know i tell it how it is.. which often is'nt so palletable with some
i wanted a realistic dyno, which gave what i believe to be realistic numbers, and so far it seems to meet my hopes.

the more maps i do with before and after the more fiugures will be transparent to see. there are gains, always, but not neccessarily of the magnitude as 'sold' by the originators of the software.

NIce smooth power and torque curves there Bill, a credit to your mapping skills. This must be saving you lots of time on the mapping front now.

dyno is something i hav wanted for a long long time.
great tool, although it was giving me hell yesterday software wise... grrrr, and my flashing laptop decided to die first thing from deceased hardrive.. thankfully a friend advised I image the drive just in case a couple of months back, and thank god i did.. it was used yesterday to get me back running.

things learned yesterday is this power level is bloody hard to stop from spinning up, so I will have to strap into the dyno more for cars of this nature (over wishbones holding car down and in) and not the usual side to side straps i have been ok with thus far.

i cant take credit for boost control, its just me setting the apexi up on fixed duty cycles for the rpms, and its doing that work. in a fwd car, its going to be a handfull on high boost.. lol

i was on the dyno logging and relaying fueling adjustments for over 6 hours yesterday... bloody hot after all that.. me and the retarder.. hehe
