"Short engine" as in 'complete bottom end'.

Interesting reading, the call for SEM is getting stronger if I can get my head around it. Will be keeping an eye out for updates.

(head kind of hurts now though lol)

It is great when you run a SEM system, as you can make drastic changes to the hardware, such as from a plenum to an ITB set up or from NASP to Turbo and the controller can be made to "know" via some config settings and a map.
Just need a window of time to get the car all prep'd to support the ITB hardware as well as make it easily reversible, as I wish to continue tracking it with the plenum set up for now

Interested to know how stable the afr is compared to speed density and a single throttle plate?. Do you use soley alpha-n for tuning?.

Quite a few use blended alpha-n due to different in gear loads, do you think it's worth the extra effort?.

This one was pretty good especially for a the limited time it was on the vehicle, good initial tune one evening by Eddie and then some refinement from me the following evening.
If you need a slight correction here and there the UEGO could handle it with a low authority, few percent etc. There is also the coolant/ IAT air density correction which can correct anything else.

    Hey, Keith.

The airflow in a non plenum NASP system is pretty much dependant on atmospheric conditions or altitude.
So when opening the throttle for a given ambient condition speed and load, you will pretty much have the same amount of air being processed by the engine. As result a mapped injection duration for a given speed and throttle angle tends to give repeatable exhaust lambda readings.

Also as you are not filling and emptying the air charge as in a plenum, with ITBs your idle tends to be more stable, right down to 600 rpm! (all other settings being robust of course)

I would especially like to have some detailed pictures, as I guess I have most of the parts kicking about as well and would give me an incentive to get the old girl to another track day.

I had material to compile into a post that I am happy to share.

Had a look today for the pictures and have to do a bit more digging.
I have quite a few that I took at several stages.
