Curmudgeon ... had to look this up and yep, I can relate lol " Old, cranky, and more than a little stubborn, a curmudgeon is the gruff, grey-haired neighbour who refuses to hand out candy at Halloween and shoos away holiday carollers with a "bah humbug!" As fickle and stubborn as the type of person it describes, curmudgeon comes to us without a history, its origins undisclosed " I enjoy this cold ? / snow weather, apart from idiot drivers who refuse to exit Summer mode
Sunday afternoon after it had snowed the road was mostly clear of snow but wet! Yet a KA driver had to drive at 10mph without any lights on braking as they drove down a straight road! Thats what I hate! if you cant drive in the snow DONT
I've only driven in the snow once, it was great fun. I hope we get more. I built my desk and bought myself a new PC and stuff.. Because I've moved back into my mums, thought it was a valid excuse.
Drove from near Nottingham to Portsmouth on Sunday afternoon, in Mrs oldnick's Roomster. Who knew that a small light eurobox would yaw around as much as THAT when going over slush Luckily she who must be obeyed was asleep...
I don't know about not handing out candy at Halloween!? Yesterday on a beer buying (Sharps' Sea Fury) trip I passed a 'Down and Out' walking along the grass verge in pouring sleet. I don't carry cash, so drove past only to realise that Lainey has a stash of 1, 2 and small change in the ash tray. I turned around in the next farm drive. Drove back past him. Turned again at a farm drive. Caught him up and gave him the cash. About 10 year's ago I bought a guy, at Seffield Railway station, a ticket to Leicester. He was asking anyone who passed to help but no listened but me. Turns out he was a prisoner on a 'Day Release' visit home and if he did not get back in time he would be punished. If he was telling the truth great. If not. I don't care, I just hope he was OK.
Gosh. That looks a lot like one of mine right down to the twin coils and leather strap, which is a Sport & Rally part. Plus the Dunlop stickers. They used to supply those when you bought competition tyres. I still have quite a few here as I never used all of them. A bit bling for me these days. Battery in boot as well! If that's a DFI he has the wrong air cleaner. Mine was like this: In winter I had to put Isopropyl Alcohol in the petrol to stop carb icing.
It's 2 deg C here and raining, but I might well go to the barn! I am refurbishing a HONDA bike engine and the new OEM parts arrived yesterday. The owner sorts my tyres and tracking out.
I had one o them dunlop stickers on my toy box when i was a kid in the 80s. It might still be in my dads garage actually
I think someone needs to sort John's left hand margin!lol Very untidy. Which is not in John's character!
