I have my Mk2 GTI 16v G reg (originally small bumper).

It may need a fuse box due to corrosion issuse (if I can't repair it).

    How do I tell if it's CE1 or CE2 (Preume I'm still CE1?).

Do the fuse boxes look physically different from the front?. Are all CE1 boxes the same?.

I had no brake lights, no hazards or indicators, but tail lights were working fine. Done all the usual tests and there was no live supply to brake light switch.

Fuse terminals also look a bit crusty!.

Where is the hazard light switch on your car, Keith?
If I'm not mistaken, the hazard switch on top of the steering cowling is CE1.
If it's located with the heated rear window and fog light switches, it's CE2.

It's a panel switch next to the radio, next to fog light switch.

Removed all the relays and fuses, doused it front and back in ACF-50, pushed some Dielectric grease into all the contacts and fitted all new fuses, cleaned all the relays up.

    Will see how it goes!.

I don't have rear Fog Light, is that the Grey/White wires to a single 10amp fuse holder at the top of the fusebox?.

Later cars (CE2) have hazards on the steering cowling?.
