Hello everyone it's me again, today i wanna ask to everyone if it's possibile to adapt the G60 Kompressor of 1.8 16 v engine to my Abf 2.0 16 v engine. Obiviusly adapting everything.
Yass this is excatly what i mean so is better to do this to my stock ABF or directly buy the engine and swap with mine?
you would be very lucky to find the above engine for sale at an affordable price , theyre rather rare if thats what you want then yeah fab up your own , you can get some of the conversion pieces for it
If you were going to the bother of doing it though, would you not use a modern, efficient and reliable charger? The G lader is not those.
yeah not a great choice , expensive and hard to find parts , then fragile once built but a cool engine if you got it all done
It has been done and I am assisting with similar, while a 3G engine is refurbished. I would use the entire ABF head an block with a spacer gasket or stacked MLS items. Your G lader will never be able to make full use of an ABF and the rev range it is capable off as it will eat itself beyond 6500 rpm.
Okay thanks everyone to partecipate at this discussion now to not start a new thread i ask here, what happen if i remove the top of original airbox leaving the filter uncovered and i go around the street?
You'll make some of induction noise, take warm air into the engine, and probably lose a little power.
Sounds interesting, why not combining the G-compressor with a turbo? Or like the 1.4 (CAVE) dual-charging ...?
