Hi, I have just bought a 1992 Golf Gti with a 2.0 litre conversion, looks to have been done really well, runs great.

What I need to know is which 2.0 block was used.

    So how can I tell?

    Thanks

    Or perhaps ADY I think.

AGG had a crank sensor on the front of the block down low, to the right of centre.
There should be an engine number on the block, on the front, just under the head gasket area.

Ady have also crannshaft sensor. Is under gasket near the water connector to block. Or you can see the code on time belt plastici cover .
