Does anyone in, or near, Bristol have a k-jet fuel pressure tester that I could borrow or hire for a reasonable fee? I'm happy to pay a deposit to ensure it's returned undamaged or will use at your place if you prefer. thanks
We all had a group buy on here think Trev16v is in Bristol with one , he imported them all for us. Lovely piece of kit
I'm in Oxfordshire, sorry; but I'm sure there was someone else in Bristol having one. (Brookster: Apologies regarding PM - will get back to you later.)
He didn't buy one in the end due to a canelled project. I'm gutted cos he lives about 1/4 mile from me[:^(]
I think most of us bristol lot wanted one, but somehow none of us actually put the money forward in time, only myself to blame.

A Copy and Paste from my power thread Down on Power thread Using the information on ClubGTi HERE I tested my Fuel control and system pressure. Called at my local Pirtek store to buy the necessary fittings. Connected up the test gauge / valve Started Engine, when settled, saw thew Control pressure which should be 48psi (3.3Bar). Mine was 58psi (4Bar). This is BAD, higher actually means LESS fuel, which is what I was seeing on my plugs compared to before. I then closed the Valve to check the System pressure This should be around 5 Bar, mine was almost 6 ! I made a short video to show how to do it (I`ll add this to my build thread later). To adjust the Control pressure, I need to adjust to Warm Up Regulator, however, I tried adjusting the WUR and the adjusting allen key made NO difference. I later sourced another WUR, that adjusted properly and I was able to set the pressures are required.
NigeP Would it be possible to post a shopping list if you will to make this with parts from pirtek? Also with rough price of the lot? I would love to make one of these but not sure of sizes, threads etc so If i have the list that you bought then I can just show them that Thanks
I know this is a really old thread, but I'm looking for the test equipment too.... and just so happen to also be in Bristol. Did a shopping list of components ever get put together, or anyone know where to get the kit reasonably priced. Seen sets on eBay for 70 ish, but that's more of a mechanics universal kit with about 80% of the parts surplus I'm sure.
Ebay less than 30 you need a small ball valve 6 from toolstation a female male gas tap This's the thread
