That type of brackets is quite not the best: they are bended and even touched the disc! I've heard similar stories, to be honest, but my justcaddies brackets seem to be holding up ok. They are due for the annual strip down and check over though. I'll report back if I find any issues.
Quite more professionnal build, use them on my race car, the only issue, don't forget loctite when screwing the brackets! Just have to add, the bad ones I bought did NOT come from justcaddy, I can't judge the ones they sell !
Suspect you and I bought the same ones Billb, very bad quality, I had to make some adjustments and they have been a constant worry when using the car, cant wait to get rid of them and after seeing the quality ones you posted Im very tempted to keep my Girling 54 calipers and buy some.

Hi All, I would really appreciate some urgent help here as all my bits for the brake conversion do not fit together - I am due to race the car on April 2nd at Donington !. I have the following parts : Discs - 280 mm, Pagid part number 95393 (other numbers on the box are 53950 / 535 615 301). Calipers / carriers - ATE part, has 54 and DE stamped on it - told they are Mk3 VR6. Caliper adapter kit - Justcaddies to bolt on to standard Mk1 GTI hubs for 280 mm conversion. The caliper carrier will fit to the adapter kit, but fouls the disc - it appears that the caliper / disc offset are different. Can anyone assist with what I should have in terms of Caliper part number for a conversion like this. Much appreciated !!. Kind regards, John.
Nightmare, Im sure I have this to look forward to... I have some G60/VR6 calipers/carriers here. I will get the part numbers for you tomorrow. Also getting some discs....

doh, those are 288mm you need 280mm, like the ones on the right. pre-96 mk3 gti 8v, 16v and vr6 all had them. after 96 they all switched to the 288s
How are the Just caddy brackets John? Can anyone help with the german translation (google translate isn't making sense)... The expensive ones are just better quality, the cheaper ones are just copies of the caddy.net ones.. which, to be fair, are copies of the ones made by Momentum Tuning years ago.. I think they're suggesting that the expensive ones are strong enough for the Girling60 2 piston caliper..

I bought the Epytech ones from Germany in the end. Thought I would give them a go. Really excellent quality! Highly recommended. Very hefty. Cost about 110 including postage. Paypal exchange rate is crap, as expected. A quick mock fitting proved they are going to fit perfectly. Pretty happy, but twice the price of others Java or some 'shockwave' is playing up so cant upload images But there is a picture on my blog below;
