Over the last few years I've been helping a good mate tune his 1.3 ce2 mk2. Running 16v GTI brakes all round and rear axle too, and some decent dampers with a sensible drop. Front GTI ARB too. Then over winter I fitted some bike carbs as a treat for him, and gave him more grunt for our Easter Ring trip. Now he's bought himself a Cat Cams lumpy stick, we want to derestrict the exhaust side, but on a very tight budget. Polo GT / G40 exhausts are not to be found here, so far we haven't even found a mk3 Golf 1.4 item! Any other suggestions? A quick Google found a brand new 1.6 mk3 item on VW Classic, would that work? https://www.volkswagen-classic-parts.de/en/abgaskruemmer-80f27b.html
has it not got that exact one on it now ? polo gt is same as lots of late polos does it have a twin or single downpipe?
btw changed my gt spec from single to twin downpipe , no noticable gain you could get the polo 4 branch if able to adapt it to clear the subframe , would be some work tho
ah ok well most mk2f polos have the twin oulet plus 1400 mk3 golfs , they dont sell for anything i had to throw mine away you might find otherwise but almost no difference on mine ..admitedly the single does look restrictive
