Ill check for spark at the coil later and also check the ignition amp, is the ignition amp located at the ecu?

    Cheers

have you checked the pins in the ecu & spark module plugs yet, plus general wiring condition? on mine it cut out on me and all it was a bit of dirt on the ecu p[lug. car would crank over, run the fuel pump as expected etc just wasnt triggering spark module to fire

I pulled the Ecu plug yesterday and all the pins looked perfectly clean.
When you say spark module is that the TCI? The small black box where the ecu is?
I also unplugged that and everything seems fine.
I'm hoping to pick up a new module today and try it this evening at some stage.

To be honest I never took any notice of the rev counter while cranking, but I'll check that later.

Just checked this and yes the rev counter does jiggle when cranking over.
Won't have the tci until tomorrow

Edit...Looking at the rev counter counter now it rises slightly when ignition is turned on but now isn't jiggling when cranking

ok have a look at the red/black wires on the coil, make sure they're clean and tight. there is a spade plug inline with one of these wires for the isv controller too, try unplugging that just in case module or wiring to it has gone bad somewhere. on the other side of the coil is the trigger wire from the spark module check that too
