I am having trouble disabling the alarm as the fob that turns it off is broke.

I can open my car normally with a key and start it but need to disconnect the alarm so the inducator lights stop flashing.

    Does anybody have any ideas?

first find the alarm brain, then chase all the wires from it and unplug/cut from the main harness. once thats done its just a case of rejoin any wires it was cut into and tape up any bare insulation.

The ignition and stalk looms unplug separately in the mk3 so relatively easy to repair any alarm taps into that harness, if its been tapped into engine, headlight or rear looms then a bit harder to repalce so its best to do your repairs in situ
