Golf mk1 steering rack set up

Hi all does anybody now what the set procedure is for a mk1 golf steering rack. What I need now is how many turns tie rods and home many turns for the tie rod ends. I know it will need tracking done after but just after the basic set up.

First off, the outer tierods are only adjustable from one side from original, unless you have changed both.
Last one I did, I got dimensions from Haynes, it was a steering gaiter off job and measure with a vernier calipers.

 

The car didn’t have a rack on it. You couldn’t scan or take a picture of the page in Haynes book
