Hi, I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this please. I've been trying to set up my car up via Rubjonny's Guide and have the following issue. Got the car upto temperature, removed and plugged breather pipe, restarted car in secret MFA mode, unplugged temp sender but car idles at 1300rpm with idle screw fully in. Can someone shed some light on this please?
    Many thanks in advance.

Also check the o-ring seal that is part of the idle screw

yes the ECU will compensate using the ISV if its not in setup mode, you have put it in setup mode right? You switch engine off, unplug sensor, start engine (may need some throttle) then rev over 3k 3 times in a row.

set the ignition timing before you adjust idle/co though, for that you unplug sensor while its idling then hold revs at 2.25k and set timing to 6 degrees using the diamond. If you do the 'wedge throttle open with stuff' technique be prepared to pull the stuff out a bit as if the timing is way off the revs can shoot right up when you get it close to factory setting

for the idle/co setup mode yes you should unplug the sensor before starting the engine, but when doing ignition timing you can unplug while engine is running.

you want to set the timing first, then look at base idle/co :)
