    No mention of the torch though. Plenty of sellers now on ebay and prices have come down.

    I already have the torch from cars ive broke it does say that is not included but pay a little more and there are sellers with the torch still cheap thou

    To think they were selling for silly money
    Never that rare really

    I have a few mk1/early mk2 16v key blanks a few years back for a few quid

    It's only pill bit that was hard to get
    Think the light part number changed to a mk3 number could be wrong though

    Well it turned up today overall it's very good
    The only thing that let's it down is the vw badge is not very sticky can see it needing some super glue to hold it on

    Hear is some pictures of it next to a new old stock vw one

    How many of the pill type key did the cars originally come with? (16v for me)

    I only had one the other one was a normal key I have had it from new (16v) 1989 .

    Anyone tried to get one of these keys cut yet? Just that a while ago I was trying to get a genuine VW blank cut and no one would do it. Apparently if it’s made from the wrong steel it will ruin the cutting stone on the machine so they will only cut blanks that they supply. Now you would think they’re just trying to flog you their blank key but I got so desperate I even offered to pay to replace their cutting stone if my key ruined it but still would have none of it.
