Had an issue with central locking on my tailgate which I believe I have sorted however my car has a mixture lock tumblers ,the one in this lock will not work with any keys I have so if the battery go's flat or the pump fails there is no back up ,I have worked with locks before with various broken handles on mk2's but this one is a real oddball ,maybe it is B3 Passat wagon ...I don't know as it shows no part number ?.
My question is if I remove the tumbler and find nothing wrong can I remove some tumbler segments to make any of the keys I have to work ?,maybe a shot in the dark but worth asking .
    TIA.

grab a bunch of mk2/3/etc locks and you can mix n match tumblers. or if you're delocking one or both of your doors the tumblers from the door lock will fit the boot lock

might be nowt wrong with the lock except its siezed solid from many years not being used
