Hi, I noticed when removing the pre cat 02 sensor off the mk4 downpipe to fit onto my new scirocco mk2 downpipe there was no washer?
Not sure if this is normal or would there be any harm in fitting a copper crush washer when i refit this onto my new downpipe?

No washer on any of the exhausts I’ve messed about with. Copper washer would likely get all soft and be pointless anyway.

    What's on a lambda sensor?
Is there a steel crush washer on them?

Edit, the blanks seem to have a washer, and think had one when fitted one in my old classic mini (futureproofing for injection)

If it does leak without, you can always fit a washer after.

the lambda probe should have a washer on, it comes fixed to the probe thats why you dont generally see them separate
