020 help please ☺️

Hi everyone. Can anyone help me with part numbers for the metal seal for the gearbox cups (circlip type) and part numbers for what’s needed to convert clutch cable to manual adjuster as auto adjust cable is rubbish. A link to where I can buy these parts greatly appreciated

You must be a very delicate flower if you're taking umbrage to my suggestion.

(A) how was I to know you "work at VW",
and (B) In the 15 years I've been on ClubGTI, an extraordinary amount of people don't bother trying the main dealer for parts. And seeing as the end cap was on relatively modern stuff like Mk4s and B5 Audis, it wouldn't be unusual for VW to still be supplying it.

 

I have to agree with Tristan on this Nick - I think you went in with "the studs up" there. He (Tristan) isn't like that and to be honest only for the fact that I'm 7 hours behind GMT over here, I would have probably asked you the same thing.
The forum as it stands these days is pretty laid back and no one (to the best of my knowledge) is not out to bust anyone's chops and if they were I'd be one of the first to tell them to bugger off.
