    Hi,

    After searching/reading through many posts on here, i am still not confident on the parts required for a 02J Hydro Conversion

    I have the following already;
    Passat B3 Pedal Box
    Drive Cups (100mm)
    Shifter & Tower
    Gearbox Mounts.

    So i assume if i am correct i need;

    Clutch master cylinder (rear of pedal box) - RHD car: 358 721 388 (or 3A1 721 388) - correct?
    Slave cylinder: 357 721 261 A
    VWK-7859 SMF Full Kit including Fly Wheel
    1.3 Speedo Cable
    1.8t Mk4 Starter
    Reservoir - which?

    So what i am trying to reconfirm is, is that all i require? No additional adapters/etc? Or are there other part numbers/mk3 parts i can use instead of listed above?

    Any help appreciated!

    Cheers

    The pipe to the master, and the pipe from master to slave.

    Tristan, what i am trying to ascertain is the mc/slave cylinders - can i use other or has to be corrado? As they're not easy to come by!

    Any cylinder that you can fit, as long as its the same size piston as the original should work for the master.
    The slave, not so easy as it's shaped to bolt to the box.
    Seeing as it's an 02j, I'd be trying a mk4 Golf slave? Surely they're plentiful?

    MK4 SC's definitely around, Corrado on the other hand not so much.

    I was under the impression from what i have been told/read that you need them to both be Corrado!

    Cheers

    The fluid doesn't know what cylinder it's in, just the size of the piston.

    Take my rally car for example. It has a Wilwood bias pedal box, with 3 cylinders.
    I just picked a cylinder of as a size to the original one as possible, fitted it and plumbed it to the original slave.
    Works perfectly.

    there are 2 versions of slave cylinder clevis pin and plastic clip type, plus RHD and LHD. the LHD ones do fit just the pipe routing is a little more awkward. needs to be corrado/passat type though, mk3 wont fit

    yeah the plastic clip is same part as the mk3 uses, but the mk3 clutch master doesnt fit corrado/passat as the plunger is a different length
