Hello there, this is my first post, and im somewhat new to the whole thing, so please forgive me if i seem ignorant :p
I own an 1984 Golf GTI MK2 1.8 8v, and i would love to work on it as my first serious project..
Anyone knows if its possible to get the 8v K-Jet to work with carbs? Maybe a guide is available somewhere? Thanks

in a nutshell, remove the kjet injection and inlet, swap carbs over, swap fuel pump for lower pressure/flow unit suitable for the carbs you want along with suitable fuel lines, done. the ignition system is already separate from the fuel system so it will carry on working as before.

But I'd rather have ITBS with an ecu such as DTA, Emerald, Megasquirt to run it all, preferably on a 16v engine ;)

Having done exactly that I wish I'd just stuck carbs on my 8v - it would have been so much cheaper lol
