I am looking to do a wideband conversion on my Mk2.

It's an AYP engine, narrowband ECU at the moment and ECU code is: 6K0906032AA

I'm just wondering what the best ECU to use would be? Obviously I'll have to modify the loom to add in the extras for the wideband Lambda etc. I'm also adding a K04 as my K03s is dead, then it'll be going for a remap.

Something like an APY from a Leon Cupra R? I'm yet to have a proper look into it yet, just wondered if anyone knew off the top of their head?

    Thanks [:D]

There is no 'best' ME7 ECU.

Any Golf FWD ME7.5 ECU from post 2001 will work.

Ultimately non of them make the engine more powerful than the other, it is just that the later ones make it easier for folks without the gear or an idea to get more boost/power out of them.

I know there is no best ME7 ECU but the pinouts are different per loom, are they not? So one closest to my AYP would be the best for me.

Finding someone with that knowledge seems to be becoming harder and harder.

Your AYP Ibiza ECU is an EU2 ECU. The APY 8L S3 ECU is also EU2 and runs the same hardware. The APY engine was an 8L S3 engine only.

I have given the answer to your problem in post 2.
