    ISome advice please?
'm having my '87 16v engine refurbed and am about to reassemble.
I'm changing the head bolts as they are single shot, and con-rod bolts as they take a lot and are 30-odd years old.
Do i also need to change the camshaft bearing bolts when I reassemble?
Any others its wise to replace?
    Thanks for any advice

Always re-use cam cap bearing studs/nuts, personally. Obviously a good visual inspection
    first

Big end bolts proving tricky to source. Keep trying or re-use?

Personal preference, key item. I wouldn't want to lead anybody on this, but I have been known to re-use on my own engines.
    Again, IMHO

Camshaft bolts can be reused 100%.

...or on autodoc.co.uk or buycarparts.co.uk and their many other associated websites you can get Febi Bilstein bolts for about £3.84 and nuts for about £1.20.
Granted the postage is something like £8.45, but it's still a saving and you might find some other parts you need on the website!
