16v timing belt change!!?!?!

    hi guys, just been quoted 110 to get timeing belt changed on my 16v. is this over the odds or quite reasonable???any thoughts / comments appreciated!!!

    about 14 for the belt,96 an hour labour seems a biton the high side :)

    Seems very reasonable to me. I would have thought you would be charged up to 2 hours in labour.

    Sounds about right for a garage.

    30 gets you a belt and a tensioner pulley (recommended to do at the same time) from G&S. It might take a couple of hours, but it's easy enough to do it yourself. Just make sure the timing marks line up and the belt it correctly tensioned. Then pocket the 80 difference.
