Will update with pics tomorrow:thumbup: Have now got a lot of the plenum mould figured out(its easy) so there will be some of that too

Had a few issues with the Co2 this time round, looks like it has a different type valve. When you use it for 5min, the valve freezes over and wont re-seat:o which means it emptied 40euros of Co2 into the workshop over night unknown to me[:x] I have another full one now with my normal type valve Im used to and it seems to be seating now. I know I could aim a heat gun at it, but it seems a lot of Co2 gets frozen in there and it has to be really hot to melt it all. A bit of an unforeseen problem, but ya'll have that!

I have a bit of 'real work' to do abroad soon but Im hoping to do a bit of cramming and get a lot of this complete before that - Its just a week 'off campus' anyway.

Sooooo going further off campus to San Fran until the middle of the month so there wont be any updates till Im home. Joys of the job - someone has to do it I guess.

This is NOT gone dead so lets not panic lol. If theres anyone in London that wants to shoot the breeze on the 15th of April let me know - in town for the night on route back.

This build is just so outstanding awesome!!!
I was reading through your complete guide on casting parts thread and your slide throttle body build about 3 years ago and was totally impressed with your skills and your often simple but ingenious solutions. Not just building the engine parts but first building the tools to make the parts blew me away. Back than I didn't own a Volkswagen but now that I have a GTI myself I had to sign up for this forum to follow your further work.
Can't wait to see more updates soon.

Off to Hong Kong tomorrow, THEN, we shall have some action again.

    Brian,

@19E-GTI, Im glad you signed up - some of my early stuff was a bit cringe worthy and looking back there was a lot of better ways I could have done stuff which is why I didnt finish half of it as I learned more. BUT, I guess I started from the ground up with no money so I guess I just ''did it my way''

If its any conciliation all that work got me the opportunities I now have today so it just goes to show that the internet is more powerful a tool than any 5axis cnc ever will be.

All my leanings are going to be brought together pretty soon when I cast the head.
