The colour came from the Nissan/Datsun catalogue. It's called Light Blue Metallic. I agree the pics don't show it up too well (my el-cheapo digi cam is to blame!!), but it's basically silver with a deep light blue pearl to it, then several coats of clear :)

I did try VW Lupo Taffeta Green and 2 different greys from the Audi book but didn't like either of them. I'd like to have sprayed the car in enamel but don't have the workshop (or the skills!) to do it well enough - too much dust, etc etc

Haven't decided yet [:$] I'll probably end up playing it safe and getting a pro. to do it - plus I'm getting pretty sick of bodywork after nearly a year on the same car [:s]

I'm desperate to get it in paint though, so I can start the fun part of rebuilding it and getting the interior trimmed etc

Finnnnallllly an update. I've been so busy with work that I haven't even touched the car until the past couple of weeks. Earlier on, I'd put the liquid sealer on the floorpan but now decided it look like sh1te. I spent 3 days straight grinding it all off and here's the end result. The exterior is about to get painted aswell so I'm pretty excited about that!!! Here's lots of pics... I also re-did the rear floor and inner arches as I wasn't totally happy with my last finish. Enjoy!!!

you should be ok depending on how low you go and what rubber you use, I run 7x15s et 26 with 50 profile tyres on basically stock arches with a 40mm drop and its fine

[:$] Yeah it certainly won't be making it to any UK/Mainland shows.

I'm nearly done with the engine bay, so that'll be the next update... then I
just have to paint the back of the tailgate and doors, bolt them back on
and then my bodywork/painting tasks are over as a pro will paint the
    outside for me :p

Sounds good, how's it going working on it now?

I was intruiged by the comments of being able to work outside during
winter by other users but, the dates say that it was mostly during
    spring/summer weren't they? I've already forgotten, but, Tasmania's
colder and wetter then Melbourne is....

I don't think they realise Australia is in the Southern Hemisphere and has opposite seasons [:$] :p

The car is going well. It's going to be painted in a couple of weeks. I've just taken the engine bay back to bare metal for the ultimate finish... it was the worst job of the whole project and I'll never do it again [xx(]
