Hi Im considering geting or converting my 1.6 8v engine in my mk2 golf to a biger litre. I was origanal going to buy a tall block and buy and fit one of you c pack heads but after reading the msa blue book I'm having to change my approach. Theres a passage in hillclimbing and sprints for modified productions that says the block must be external idenfiabal as one that could have bin origanal specified but internals are free so I'm wondering what's the bigest litre I can fit in my std block

    Hi Matt,

If you are looking for advice on hillclimbing and regs I'd have a word with Mr Hillclimber and TonyB on here as they are both seasoned hands at hillclimbing 8v Mk1s and have won more than a few trophies between them. In fact Mr Hillclimber also has a traders section on here as he builds a lot of race engines for hillclimbing and track.....including my own 207bhp 2ltr 8v ;)
