Well just got an E-mail from Integrated Engineering the pistons have been posted so should be here in a couple of days.

Painted the block today ready for everything else to arrive.

Going to get some new Heat Wrap for the old Supersprint 4-2-1
    [IMG]
Also need to get the MK1 booked in for a Pipewerx 2 1/2" System

The existing exhaust is 2" Stainless System which will be going to a good home.

    good read this thread..good project.

did you have to fabricate an extension to fit the supersprint mani to your system, if you did you wouldnt happen to have the dims would you?

    *dumb question alert*

so to make it a 2.1 - all you have had to spend on is the 40+ vat and the pistons??

The Supersprint came with the flange but it required a 2" x 600m extention welded onto it to fit the existing 2" Stainless system.

depends what final spec you want, but yes if you can do all the work yourself its a fraction of the price is costs to buy a complete bottom end that has been built.

i've gone for a complete rebuild with H-Beam rods, Race Crank and all new Main & Big ends bearings all held together with ARP Studs everywhere.

Made some progress today while waiting for everything to arrive.

Fitting the water pump and Alternator bracket and side engine mount from the old block.

Also transvered the twin Oil cooler set - up, the Water cooled Oil Cooler and the sandwhich plate for the Mocal 12 row cooler which has build in Thermostat so keep everything at the correct temperature. Run this set- up for the last ten years and works very well.

Requires a remote Oil filter set -up due to the limited space between the block and the front panel.

technically its still a 2.0, it would have to be above 2050cc to be a 2.1

    a true 2.1 is 83.5mm bore with a 95.5mm crank giving 2092.

my 8v will be 2042, 95.5mm crank with 82.5mm bore

Yes its Paul Bargates famous Rocco Original 16v Left hooker , with the trumpets thru the bonnet.

The cranks is an amazing piece of engineering, can't wait to se the pistons, the ARP Mains studs are coming with them too.

and Hopefully the 45mm DTH Jenvey's will be here in a few days too.

forgot what the final displacement will be for the 83.5mm bore and 92.8mm stroke is it 2036cc ?

Cheers can't wait to get it finished an get back racing again.

Hopefully should have the Microsquirt and the custom loom made up next week too, will see how it runs on its so fingers crossed.

a friend has Megasquirt on his Duratec engine on 45 DTH Jenvey's with very good results.
