does your 92.8mm crank foul the piston skirts on your oil squirters? most 1.8t to 2.0l applications require spacing of the squirter or a clearance noth in the piston skirt...mine did!!
Yes they do so i have taken 1mm off the front edge of the Oil injetors Had to do this before with my old engine too.
Update - The Jenvey's arrived last week ! Cheers Bill havn't had time to do anything last week but will be finishing the bottom end this week and fitting the head and hopefully drop it into the MK1.
On the underside of the bodies are 4 x cast raised bosses to drill/tap which ever ones you want to run.. all of them, one of them, #1 cyl or #4 cyl whichever suits your install. They come blank as installs differ. my Jetta, I ran a tapping off #4 cyl to run servo.. worked fine.
What spec of camshaft will you be using? if its lairy, you may be better to tap more than one to help smooth out a lumpy idle
Well time to get the bottom end complete and fitt the pistons. JE Pistons come with very good instructions on the rings gap positions. H-Beam rods fitted with ARP Studs 50lb/ft torque 3 times. New Oil pump fitted. Windage Tray fitted also. Schrick Baffled sump fitted too. Complete now all ready for the flywheel, clutch and Head.
Will be happy when the engine & gearbox are bolted in and i can start fitting the injection can be sorted then.
im just about to start mine now its off the road got a k03s turbo and injectors now so that will be a slight bhp increase plus the gearbox just need a abf flywheel clutch ect then i may stoop for a water/meth kits and nos lol do you sell and fit nos kits yet??
