Regarding the whole 'sleeper' aspect - you're gonna paint the honking great shiny intercooler black, aren't you?

    Downpipe

Righto, made a start on the downpipe today its only tacked together at the moment but It fits

Its made of bits cut off the Qpeng downpipe I had already changed to v-band and ruined! and some other sections cut from a 20 S/S 2.5" U bend off ebay

Just need to find someone locally to TIG it.

I guess you could call it "help" all you did was cut most bits and do the welding ;)

    Hi,

How did the clutch hold out !

Im doing this conversion and currently have the LUK-VR6 clutch / G60 Flywheel.

Im looking at upgrading to this Clutch Kit

    1. How did yours hold out
    2. is there any other (cheaper) options?

    Thanks

Very very nearly ready to roll, its going to be a very a close run thing if I'm going to get it to the Pod for Gti fest but I'm going to try! (on a trailer obviously)

brake lines done - bleed them at the weekend but forgot the clutch res DOH! - It arrived today so hopefully get that fitted after work tomorrow and it should (fingers crossed) be ready for a test run

fitted one of the 928 alloys I had diamond cut and laquered at spit and polish

Clutch reservoir fitted, bled the clutch and I can't believe I'm writing this but....

IT WORKS!!! Just drove it round block :o:o:o:o

I still have a massive smile on my face half an hour later, its amazingly I never driven something as stupidly fast as that:thumbup:

No grip what so ever, its still on the G60 steels with 165 tyres up front (just used for the build) No exhaust either so it sounds like a screaming bashee!!!

Well done mate. Noticed you had some grief on the other forum from that idiot. He tried it with me too. But all posts were deleted before he could respond again. They're all missing your input over there it seems.
