    Guys,

When i finally get hold of a 2L block/crank/pistons for my MK1 conversion! I was going to put my "PB" hydrolic head on it.To do this i was informed to use the later oil pump that has more pressure to supply the hydrolic tappets.

what if i use my old "DX" mechanical head instead. Would using the later higher pressure oil pump without the hydrolic tappets cause a problem with too much pressure in the engine?

While i'm waiting for the block to come up i dont Know which is the best head to put my attention too.

    Anyone any ideas on this?

    Domma.......

oil pumps have a pressure valve on them, over a certain amount it opens and regulates it I believe.
