As that spec but with uprated valve springs ti caps and single piece stainless valves.
And the throttle bodies are 52mm now.

    Pics

Uprated valves are a must [:x]

    oh yes.. [:s]
Thats why I made it my mission to find something better.
Seems pointless building a top spec motor only to retain the weak std valves in it.
One piece Forged stainless valves EV80, black nitrided with optional inconel exhaust valves (for turbo 20VT)

    pure filth !

graham was how i found this site too

the 2 piece standard valves are a bit of a bugbear. vauxhall twincam engines are the same. in our case the head and stem are 2 different types of metal. this is purely because theres not 1 single type of stainless steel that is both durable for valve stem work and to widthstand the hammering and extreme heat and cold in the combustion chamber. one piece valves tend to err on the steel most suitable for the combustion chamber duties, and you have to accept that the stem will wear quicker than in a road engine.

lol, yeah I've heard alot of people say that after theirs has gone bang too.

As for John Reed racing. I've heard he can charge 6k just for labour on some of his engines! Though his work is fully warranted to back.
But at the same time he can get 199.5bhp out of a 1.4 16v corsa engine revving to 9k +

remembering manufacturers are building to a price not neccessarily a spec which can cope with more power or revs

Missed your PM pol - I'm sure Graham will put up some of the spec.

A full race motor by all accounts.
